Hello! My name is Sondor Sukhbaatar, and I’m a highschool student at the British school of Ulaanbaatar. I’m very passionate about environmental sustainability and business.
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the beauty of the earth and how everything coexisted. Earth was a mother that permitted us to live. However, through my travels in the countryside of Mongolia, I started spotting polluted rivers, and inhabitable dead water bodies. I started realizing how our home was facing destruction due to the carelessness of human action.
I was devastated. It was as if we were digging our graves, andI felt a sense of responsibility to take action around it. I started researching all possible solutions and discovered an incredibly admirable group called a bivalve. Not only do many bivalves filter out pollutants, but they create habitat for other marine life, constructing a healthy aquatic ecosystem.
Motivated to protect the poor creatures and spread more awareness, I launched Protector4water with the mission to support the bivalve population through fundraising, marches, volunteering, and more. I aim to educate the Mongolian community on this topic through school initiatives and events, and collaborate with local organizations to maximize our impact. In addition, I plan to conduct research to share reliable information to enhance the bivalve's life while spreading more awareness.
Followers can expect regular updates and resources across all platforms. I will post educational content once every month, keeping you updated on ongoing projects, upcoming events, and plans. We will offer monthly big events that you can participate in to engage in the community such as habitat clean-ups, educational workshops, or special fundraising activities. Check out our social media pages for other inspiration and informational content as well!

Clams, oysters, and mussels are a part of the bivalves class, a group of invertebrates found in aquatic habitats. They are soft-bodied animals that have two hard outer shells covering their bodies that open and close like a door. They have darker blue or black shells and are usually wedge-shaped or pear-shaped.
